Following Wednesday's supreme Court ruling, our branch activists agreed that it was vitally important to make a statement that we are still trans allies, that we stand by our union's womens' conference recent position that trans women are women, trans men are men and non-binary people are non-binary and that we will continue to stand for trans and other LGBT+ inclusion. We will not desert young people who are being crushed by the ignorance, bigotry, intransigence and political cowardice.

🟢 Council staff deserve better.
A 3% pay offer from COSLA is a real-terms pay cut. After years of below-inflation rises, this is an insult to the workers who keep councils running.
🟢 There’s still time to change this.
UNISON is balloting over 80,000 local government workers across Scotland.
🟢 This is a postal strike ballot by separate employers.
Ballot papers start arriving from 1 May. Look for the Purple Envelope coming through your door – make sure you vote YES, YES and post it back.
Do not forget to post it. A 99% Yes vote means nothing if we don't get at least 50% of ballots returned.
