The first point of contact for most trade unions is your local steward. In Dundee City Branch of Unison our constitution allows for, roughly, one steward per 30 members. This varies depending, for instance, on the need for stewards covering particular groups of workers.

We are always happy to accept new stewards and provide the training and support they need to do the job.

NB: The Vacant Positions listed below are only a guide. There may be more vacancies within bigger departments/sections.

Stewards and Officers are re-elected each year at A.G.M. time. Where there is a vacancy, however, members can nominate a branch officer or a steward for their section at any time through the year.
